Join author/illustrator Ana Maria Selvaggio aka Renmeleon for Lunch & Learn: A Zines Workshop at The Root Co-Working Space located at 110 Market Street in New Albany, Indiana. There will be one hour of instruction and brainstorming, a one hour break for lunch catered in locally by Mickey‘s, followed by two hours of relaxing over papercraft and conversation. Learn the history of zines as an early form of independent press, learn how to make several varieties of zines, and their uses in both business and education. Zines are making a resurgence again as writers and artists alike create and distribute their voices in unique ways. 

Participants will be included in and receive a collaborative zine created during the afternoon’s activities. Trading copies of zines is also encouraged. Supplies provided or bring your own!

11am (one hour) workshop and brainstorming
12pm (one hour) break for lunch and watch party
1pm-3pm crafting zines
