Give for Good Together

When: Thursday, September 10 | 12-1pm, 5:30-8:30pm
Where: 110 E Market Street, New Albany
Format: 80’s telethon with entertainment. Collective nonprofit fundraiser.

Give for Good Louisville is one of the region’s biggest days of generosity, but for many nonprofits, it’s often experienced behind a screen—competing for attention in a crowded digital landscape.

This year, we’re doing things differently.

Join The Root and a collective of local nonprofit organizations for Give for Good Together, an in-person fundraising celebration designed to bring donors, nonprofits, and community members into the same room. Rather than supporting organizations in isolation, we’re creating a shared experience that highlights the power of collaboration and collective impact.

Throughout the day, you’ll have the opportunity to meet the people behind the missions, learn about the work happening across our community, and connect directly with organizations making a difference. Donations made during the event will go into a shared giving pool and be distributed among participating nonprofits, allowing your generosity to support a broader network of impact.

And because giving should be fun, we’re throwing it back to the 1980s. Dust off your leg warmers, denim jackets, neon colors, and big hair—costumes are encouraged but not required.

What to Expect

  • Free lunch and nonprofit panel to kick off the celebration
  • Live nonprofit showcases and opportunities to connect
  • Stand-up comedy from Dan Alten
    • Partner Sponsor: Shannon Fehr, Founder & Lead Planner | We’re grateful to Shannon Fehr and Bliss Events & Co. for sponsoring comedian Dan Alten’s performance and helping consult on the planning of Give for Good Together.
  • Magician and hypnotist Richard Darshwood
  • Live music from the Southern Sirens to close out the evening
  • Door prizes, surprises, and community connection throughout the day

Work for Good

We’re also inviting professionals, remote workers, and entrepreneurs to spend the day working from The Root.

From 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, all Day Pass purchases and conference room booking revenue will be donated directly to participating nonprofits. It’s a simple way to support great causes while getting your work done.

Whether you’re giving, volunteering, networking, working remotely, or simply curious about the incredible organizations serving our region, Give for Good Together is a chance to experience generosity in person and see the collective impact our community can create when we come together.

Below, you’ll find information about each participating nonprofit and the important work they do. We hope you’ll take some time to learn their stories, meet their teams, and discover new ways to get involved.

Together, we can make doing good feel a little more human.
